Some background

I am a cook and writer with a weekly newsletter at No Cartouche.

I am a publisher of new voices in food writing at Cartouche Press

I co-authored *Max's Sandwich Book* and Max’s Picnic Book, published in 2018 and 2021 respectively. The sandwich book was a Sunday Times Top Ten Bestseller. I also co-wrote the Good & Proper Tea Book in 2019.

I have written in The Spectator, The Guardian, Root & Bone, Pot Luck and Vittles. I have developed recipes for columns in the Guardian and the Telegraph, as well as developing, ghostwriting, testing and styling for several cookery books. Commercially I have developed recipes and concepts for brands such as Gaviscon and Oatly.

As a chef, I worked at Rochelle Canteen, Dock Kitchen and Le Coq. I also opened Llewellyn’s and The Garden Museum Cafe as a consultant.

Outside of food, I also write fiction and am an alumni of Literary Kitchen and Faber Academy.
